I first started training with Matt in January 2017. Initially I just wanted to improve my fitness but the month after I started my new fitness routine my partner (now husband) proposed so I had my first goal which was to lose weight and tone up for my wedding the following year! Matt helped me to achieve and smash my first goal In the 12 months leading up to my wedding I not only reached my target weight and gained muscle, I also completed 2 5k races, a 6 week bootcamp with tuff enuff assault course on the final week and completed the pretty muddy 5k for my hen do! All this from someone who hated exercise! I went from no exercise to training with Matt 4 times a week.
I would not have achieved any of this without Matt’s support and encouragement. He gives me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and knows how far to push me to get me to reach my full potential.
During the past 3 years Matt has supported me through injury, helped with nutrition and more recently kept me fit and healthy during my pregnancy and helping me back to fitness after giving birth.
Since becoming a mum my fitness took a back seat but in December I decided it was time to dust off the gym kit and went for a PT session at the gym with Matt. It felt amazing to be back in the gym and to be doing something just for me so after a conversation with Matt I decided to sign up to the Carbon fitness 6 week online body transformation course. The course was perfect as it gave me the flexibility to fit in workouts around caring for my daughter. I completed 1-2 gym workouts a week and 2 home workouts. The app was so simple to use and I loved having the ability to keep a daily photo food diary. This time my goal wasn’t to lose weight but to do something just for me however after the 6 weeks I not only felt amazing I had lost 1.1kg in weight and a combined loss of 9cm from my waist, hip and thighs.
The 6 week online body transformation course was just what I needed to kick start my fitness routine again and it has given me back my love for fitness

"After starting my weight loss journey and losing some weight I decided I wanted to get more active and that's when I first met, Matt. I have been training with him & Carbon Fitness for about 3 years now and he has helped me to change my life completely around. From someone who could hardly run a few hundred yards to someone who has completed several 10k races, multiple half and full marathons and this is all within a couple of years.


He has an amazing way of getting to know people and understanding what they want to get out of a workout or session and adapting them so you get the most out of it to get you to your goal. He knows how far to push someone so they can reach their full potential. 

I definitely wouldn't be where I am now without his help, support and encouragement. I turned 50 earlier this year and I have never been fitter, stronger or healthier than I am now. 

I am so excited to see what the next 3 years bring!
